Date:
July 10, 2010 (Saturday)
Venue:
Clarion Hotel Sign, Stockholm, Sweden
Conference Theme:
This symposium under the theme of "Regulation of feeding and energy metabolism
by the brain" is being organized and conducted by Professor
Seiji Shioda (Showa University School of Medicine, Japan) and Dr. Christian
Broberger (Karolinska Institutet, Sweden). It will be held as a satellite
symposium of the XI International Congress on Obesity (July 11th - 15th,
2010).
The objective of this symposium is to invite researchers worldwide
to present lectures on their cutting edge studies on the central regulation
of feeding and energy
metabolism, especially on the role of neuropeptides and GPCR
ligands in animals and humans from a functional and morphological
standpoint.
Program Topics
1) Molecular background
2) Hypothalamic integration
3) Integration of feeding behavior in brain
4) Peripheral control of feeding behavior
5) Feeding and energy metabolism in humans
