Welcome Message
It is a great pleasure to invite you to participate in the Official Satellite Symposium of the 14th International Congress of Endocrinology (GPCR2010) to be held in Kyoto, Japan, March 30-31, 2010.
The satellite symposium "Neuroendocrine Functions of G-protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs)" will be held in Kyoto on March 30, just after the main meeting of ICE. The program will cover recent and new developments in the field of GPCRs and their ligands, especially neuropeptides in biological homeostasis regulation such as body weight and metabolism, reproduction, osmotic pressure and so on. Special attention will be paid to the recent research in the field of neuroendocrinology in mammals including humans. The main target of the neuropeptides to be presented and discussed are newly found ligands such as orexin, ghlrein, GALP, NPW, neuromedin U and Metastin but other important neuropeptides such as GHRH, CCK, GnIH, ANP and others are to be included in this symposium. Distinguished scientists, who have discovered these GPCR ligands, will be invited together to present lectures on timely and selected topics on these neuropeptides and the related research.
We would like to invite everyone to attend and present your work in this exciting symposium. We look forward to seeing you in Kyoto.
